Teaching and Learning | Basic teaching module
We will focus on the following subjects:
- Your host institution TU Berlin
- Cultural competences, dimensions and standards
During this info session you will learn more about your host institution TU Berlin and support services for visiting scholars. You will also get information on your teaching and learning environment as well as possible scientific continuing education. Your views on TU Berlin and the goals you wish to achieve through your personal “internationalization” as well as the activities you undertake can be put in the context of the German Higher Education system and intercultural concepts.
We will give you some information on your possible interaction with colleagues, students and administrators as well as people from different cultural backgrounds and status to further develop your intercultural skills for your professional and personal life.
Visiting scholars, international researchers and lecturers, who want to further develop their international and intercultural competences.

|Fees||For employees, assistant lectures, registered doctoral candidates at TU Berlin and junior scientists at HU Berlin, FU Berlin, Charité, the course is free of charge. If you do not belong to these groups of people, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for information on fees.|
|Requirements||Participants should have English language skills at least the B2 level.|
Participants please keep a laptop/ PC with video and audio function or a webcam and headset ready.
|Completion||Assuming successful participation, you receive a certificate of attendance.|
|Certificate||Applicable for TU certificate for teaching and learning and for TiE-BAC certificate – Teaching in English.|

Your binding participation is very important to us. On the one hand, our courses are connected with high costs. On the other hand, we plan much group work and work interactively with you.
