Would you like to brush up your curriculum vitae (CV) and gain valuable insights into the art of writing job applications in English? Then this hands-on training is designed for you.

The first morning session will focus on key elements of writing a persuasive cover letter and CV, clarifying your individual strengths and identifying their fit for a potential employer. On the second day, you will receive one-on-one feedback on your individual CVs and cover letter. In addition, you will receive a comprehensive handout containing examples, exercises, templates and further resources to work with in the future.

You will learn the tools and techniques that make writing job applications more successful.

This training will give you practical insights into the following topics:

  • Writing a persuasive cover letter and CV
  • Clarifying your strengths and successes
  • Determining the skills employers are looking for
  • Decoding and interpreting job descriptions
  • Understanding what to include in a CV 
  • Reducing wordiness and editing for style

Trainer input, discussions, structured sessions to implement what you have learnt, individual feedback. Max. number of participants: 8.

Please bring along a current CV and cover letter of yours to the workshop. The timing for the one-on-one feedback sessions on December 3rd is to be agreed with your facilitator.

RequirementsParticipants should have English language skills at least the B2 level.
Participants please keep a laptop/ PC with video and audio function or a webcam and headset ready.
