Would you like to progress with your writing faster and easier? Whether you suffer from writer’s block and procrastination, are drown in chaos as you revise, don’t know where to start or are simply frustrated with how long writing a manuscript or thesis takes: this workshop helps you optimize your writing process and increase your writing productivity. With the right writing techniques and effective self-management you can achieve high writing output on a regular basis — and even enjoy the process.

You are familiar with techniques that enable you to write efficiently and with ease. You know how to overcome a writer’s block and procrastination. You have developed your individual action plan to sustainably improve your self-management and your writing productivity.


In this course, we will tackle the following aspects of writing:

  • Test yourself: What type of writer are you? How can you harness your strengths and compensate for your weaknesses?
  • Guided experimentation with your writing technique
  • How to optimize each phase of the writing process
  • Reflection upon your self-management and writing habits
  • Effective self-management techniques
  • Elements of writing productivity
  • Development of your individual action plan

Input, reflection, discussions in group and pairs, writing exercises.
Max. number of participants: 12.

Please bring to the training a recent result of yours (figure, table, etc) or an academic article that you are currently reading.
Student workers are welcome, subject to availability.

RequirementsParticipants should have English language skills at least the B2 level.
Participants please keep a laptop/ PC with video and audio function or a webcam and headset ready.
CompletionAssuming successful participation, you receive a certificate of attendance.
